Enjoying the snow

So it's been super snowy here lately. Which is fun and pretty, but I'm freezing!!!!

Anyway, lots of time for homework and playing Sims 3 some more since classes are cancelled. Haven't really gotten around to posting, but came across this cute little table setting today.

I also found this a while ago and was thinking it could go where the bulletin board is in the first picture.

And I even have a window that Zack and I found on the side of the road that said free! Even better! I've been looking for something to do with it. It will be a few years until I'm married, but thought this idea was too cute to pass up, and now I have a plan for the window.

Organization

I've been a little distracted with The Sims 3 lately, I bought it Wednesday and Zack and I have been playing a lot.

I decided I really want a very organized (possibly color coded by person) house. This entryway table is amazing!  How perfect are the boxes and bulletin boards so everyone has their own space?! I love it...love the colors too. Might be a little much that the boots under the table match the color coding too though.

Moving inside

So since yesterday I posted about the outside of the house with the wraparound porches that I'm in love with, I decided today would be good to move inside. Zack would love to have it be an enclosed front porch, so we'll see what we can find.

A good wood burning fireplace to keep it nice and warm in the winter. Also love all the natural light with so many windows.

How awesome is this tile?! I feel like it would hide the dirt very well...and since I'm envisioning this as a "mudroom" of sorts, disguising the dirt is a must. Though I do love the wood flooring in the first picture, I think this would be a little more practical, and probably easier to keep clean.

And to add storage...the shelves lining the windows. I love walls of shelves to store tons of things...I could even add in some shoe storage with this amount of shelves and not have to track in all the dirty shoes from our hypothetical children running around and playing outside.

Curb Appeal

I might be a little obsessed with huge wraparound porches!

Love these two houses!

Building a Dream

I decided this was a better way to put together my favorite things for my dream house than a power point presentation. This way I can talk about the pictures and things I find without taking up room on my hard drive. This started when I found a decorating magazine at Target and fell in love with the idea of designing my own house. So I scoured blogs and Google image results to find the perfect house, but there are so many beautiful things to add that I can't decide on just one. So for now, I will compile all the things that I find and keep dreaming for that perfect house. Pictures will follow as I discover this whole blog endeavor.
